The CIS carnival has proven tough for Hamish Batley. He hasn't been able to get things going with the bat and a BBW (bat before wicket) decision by Umpire Woody didn't help. With the ball, he has had returns of 1-13 and 1-14, both times removing openers and the opposition's key batsman.

Having his bare foot trodden on by a team mate's spiked boot, puncturing his big toe nail, certainly hasn't helped.
