Otto nothling played 10 internationals against NZ for NSW, and 3 times against SA. This was at a time that there was no queensland ruby and these games were regarded as tests.

They were international ruby games (as the question was worded). Nothling's one cricket test for Australia was agains England in the 1928 season. Bradman was dropped from this game and he took his place (1998 1st edition wisden Australia)

however...Shane Watson did play Australian Schoolboys Rugby and we all know that he can bat... (are you going to say that I can't answer twice????).

Either way - the question poses questions with both answers...

Thanks for all the contributions. Unfortunately (for you) I was out watching the Woodstock show.

Jack gets the money, as he and Michael were correct with their answer Johnny Taylor.

As you said "as the question was worded" ... which former Australian Test BATSMAN ...

Nothling was a bowler.

Thanks to all.

PS Yes Deb, you can't answer twice.
